FASHION FUTURE INTERVIEW QUESTIONS

Australian designers Anna Plunkett and Luke Sales-label 'Romance Was Born' talks about their very real, raw but fun journey into fashion.

1. Why is it so rewarding to be a leading Fashion Designer?

Loads of funny stuff happens every day-Fashion is really funny.

2. Where do you get your inspirations from?

We draw inspiration from everywere, each collection has different themes and storys, these themes become our obsetions for next 6 or 7 months> Everything that falls into this becomes our inspiration.

3. What has been your greatest achievement?

So many how do you choose?,... joking....I think our last show was prettty great, but I dont like to look back. Our next show is fast approching. I think our real big achievements are yet to come.

4. What has been your greatest challenge and how did you overcome it?

Production, still not over it!

5. Whose style do you most admire?

In Australia - Jenny Key and Cate Blanchett.
Internationally - Anna Piaggi, Dahenni Guiness and of course Bjork

6. What changes in your business, if any, have you made to adapt to the current economic climate?

Not many, I think just being aware of quality and of a point of difference. No one will really have much to complain about.

7. Divulge the fashion piece that you couldn't live without?

Anything Jeremy Scott, he is amazing.

8. What is your worst fashion faux pas?

ohh gosh I dont really think about it, I am un aware of trends etc.....

I think people should be able to wear whatever they want free of peoples ridicule. If you are comfortable and feel good in what your wearing then I suppose that is half the battle.

I just think boys are really lame when they all look the same.

9. Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

I am so busy I dont knowwhere I will be in 5 day- Its madness all the time. Hopefully not in a mental house...joking.

10. What advice can you offer to emerging fashion designers?

Its madness! be warned!".......I am joking....

11. Luke’s ‘HOT TIP’

"more is more"
